McDonald’s chose wrong location in Milton

April 4, 2023

I moved to Milton seven years ago into a small, friendly town that is occupied by wonderful people – new ones, old ones and some working ones. Yes, I am retired and landed here, as did many of our neighbors. And we are now faced with a big decision: to allow McDonald’s to build in a shopping center or not. I attended a meeting March 21 with the planning and zoning commission. Almost all who went to the public hearing voiced their opinion not to have all this to go through. I don’t think any of us disliked McDonald’s, but we don’t want them to build there. All the traffic reasons were talked to death and other issues were discussed too. Please make the right decision and vote no. There are many areas up and down Route 16 or Route 30 to build a big shopping center with plenty of room for McDonald’s and others. Don’t do it at Route 16 and Union Street Extended.
