After a six-month layoff, Milton’s Suburban Farmhouse will reopen for business at its Federal Street location Monday, June 1.
The popular Milton breakfast spot has been derailed by two things: first, a car crash that damaged the building at 108 Federal St. and second, the COVID-19 pandemic, which put the state on lockdown to stop the spread.
Co-owner Kristen Latham said the plan is to open the undamaged front of the building and use the outside spaces for seating, in order to comply with the state’s mandate that restaurant’s can only seat up to 30 percent of their capacity. Latham said food will be cooked using the kitchen at The Dough Bar/The Fox Hole at 102 Federal St.
Suburban Farmhouse will be offering favorites like coffee, muffins, quiches and specialty drinks. Carryout will also be available.
“We’re just excited to get open and running,” Latham said.
Besides reopening the main building, Suburban Farmhouse is also expanding to open a series of mini-food trucks in locations around the area. The first is at Millman’s Appliances on Route 9, but Latham said the plan is to have trucks in Georgetown, Millsboro and Milford, serving coffee and baked goods.
