Noted Christian singer David Phelps to perform May 21

The Smyrna Opera House will host a concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 21, featuring award-winning Christian vocalist and songwriter David Phelps.

Phelps grew up in a musical family and discovered his natural gift for song at a young age. While earning his degree in vocal performance from Baylor University, Phelps began a lifelong passion for worldwide travel to share music, inspiration and good news. He was a member of the Gaither Vocal Band for almost 20 years and has numerous Dove Awards, Grammy Awards and multiple platinum-selling recording projects to his credit.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. The Smyrna Opera House is at 7 W. South St., at the corner of Main Street in Smyrna.
