Overfalls to host Delaware Humane Association dog adoption event July 24

The Delaware Humane Association, in partnership with the Overfalls Foundation, will host an Adopt-a-Mate event to help find forever homes for adoptable dogs from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, July 24, in Lewes Canalfront Park on the grounds of the Lightship Overfalls.
The dogs are from the Delaware Humane Association’s Rehoboth Beach adoption center. They will have handlers who can share information about the dogs’ histories and characters. All dogs have undergone complete behavior evaluations and medical checks, and are fully vaccinated, on preventatives and microchipped.
From 5 to 7 p.m., Cathy Gorman will entertain attendees with songs both old and new from the deck of the Lightship Overfalls.
Both events are free and open to the public.
