Reading the Gazette at Cambodia’s timeless wonder

On a recent trip to Cambodia and Vietnam, Terry Vick of Rehoboth Beach took time to peruse the Gazette in front of the ancient Angkor Wat temple complex near Siem Reap, Cambodia. Once the capital of the Khmer Empire, which comprised much of Southeast Asia, the complex features a fascinating combination of towers and corridors adorned with historic carvings depicting battles fought to maintain the empire. The visit was followed by a seven-day river cruise down the Mekong River that concluded in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam.
