Hot day with an afternoon storm that cleared the beach turns into beautiful summer evening

Not to be outdone by surrounding communities, Rehoboth Beach closed out the Fourth of July weekend with its fireworks display July 6.

Despite temperatures during the day in the 90s and a 20-minute downpour with lightning that cleared the beach a few hours before the show, tens of thousands of people turned out for the event. As always, the Funsters kicked off the show and then ended it with a dance party at the Bandstand.

He covers environmental stories, business stories and random stories on subjects he finds interesting, and he also writes a column called Choppin’ Wood that runs every other week. Additionally, Flood moonlights as the company’s circulation manager, which primarily means fixing boxes that are jammed with coins during daylight hours, but sometimes means delivering papers in the middle of the night.
