Rehoboth partners with youth conservation corps

Program provides jobs for teenagers focused on conservation and park projects
July 29, 2019

Rehoboth Beach is partnering with the Youth Conservation Corps this summer. The program provides jobs for teenagers, ages 14-16, that are focused on conservation and park projects.

As a core component of the program, all corps members participate in ongoing environmental education and awareness programs and training. Two teams, each with approximately five members, have been on-site assisting with park and beach cleanup, mulching, weeding and other projects. The corps staff are paid by Delaware State Parks and each team comes with their own transportation and team leader.

The teams started in June and work every other Thursday, through mid-August. For more information, go to www.destateparks.com/Volunteer/YCC.
