Salon Milton Fund Razor set Feb. 9

Proceeds benefit Gladys Wilkins scholarship
February 1, 2020

Salon Milton will host its annual Fund Razor, a bake sale and salon services fundraiser, from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9. Participants may schedule an appointment for a haircut and blow dry provided by John Potocki, April Bini or special guest stylist Roi Barnard for a suggested donation of $30. The event is a benefit for the Gladys Wilkins Agricultural Fund, with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Milton Historical Society.

Last year's event netted more than $12,000. During its existence, the Fund Razor has raised more than $43,000 for community organizations.

The silent auction is always a big hit at the event. This year, items include donations from Po’ Boys, State Farm agent Jeanine O’Donnell’s annual gift basket, Bad Hair Day, Aveda and many more.

Gourmet chef Pat Grieninger will return to sell her delicious creations in the salon’s kitchen area, with help from Sarah Petrillo and Ken Brittingham.

Those in the know will be there early. There will be a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and gourmet creations.

Refreshments, including beverages donated by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, will be offered for sale all afternoon. For those who cannot attend but would like to make a contribution, a check can be mailed to Salon Milton, 517 Chestnut St., Milton, DE 19968. "Salon Fund Razor" should be written in the memo line.

To schedule an appointment, call 302-684-1880.
