Rehoboth Avenue gets a lot of the decorative love from the city, but for the second straight year, Baltimore Avenue businesses are taking it upon themselves to attract holiday shoppers by decorating their benches outside for Benches on Baltimore. The holiday decorating of benches began in late 2018, with the Christmas season, and then returned in early 2019 to usher in spring.
According to the Facebook page for Benches on Baltimore, the Christmas-themed decorations will be up through Monday, Jan. 6, so there’s still time for businesses to participate. Use zip ties and floral wire to affix decoration to a bench. No paint, chalk, nails, screws, drilling, tape, glue or adhesives of any kind. No logos or advertising.
For more information, call Tim at Shademakers Eyewear at 302-226-2222. For a full list of all the benches, go to the Facebook page.
