So much for my predictions

January 13, 2023

Unfortunately, Georgia won the national championship in college football over TCU by the incredible score of 65-7. I guess it was wishful thinking on my part to believe that TCU could pull off the upset, but there was a real chance because they played so well against Michigan in their semifinal victory. Georgia's offense just simply overwhelmed TCU in the first half. Georgia won its second straight title, which proves the SEC is the best conference in college football. Alabama was the last team to win two consecutive championships in 2011 and 2012. I can guarantee at least one team from the SEC will be in the college playoffs next year in the last four-team playoff field before it expands to 12 teams in two years.

The Eagles are enjoying a bye week. Next week, they can play one of four teams in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. They will play the lowest remaining seeded team after this round of games. They could play the the fourth-seeded Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the fifth-seeded Dallas Cowboys, the sixth-seeded New York Giants or the seventh-seeded Seattle Seahawks.

The only team I will be scared of playing is the Dallas Cowboys because they’ve been so inconsistent this year. In some games, the Cowboys looked like they could win the Super Bowl, while in others they don’t look like they deserved to make the playoffs. Actually, I lie. I’m also a little nervous about facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because it is probably going to be Tom Brady’s last hurrah and you never know how well he and the team are going to play with that in mind. And, they have a good defense too. It's going to be great to watch and see what comes to be.
