St. Peter’s ministry still has angels to be matched with givers

2020 sees more families needing help to brighten Christmas
December 2, 2020

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes continues its Christmas ministry for children this year with a virtual angel tree.

This year has been an especially tough one for everyone in Southern Delaware, and many families who were already struggling are in even worse shape due to the economic fallout from the pandemic. This has led to an uptick in the number of families seeking help to make this Christmas a little brighter for their children.

Out of 130 angels’ lists, 50 still need to be matched.

Organizers are also accepting $25 Visa gift cards.

Presents will be distributed to Primeros Pasos in Georgetown, Community Resource Center in Rehoboth Beach and Family Outreach Multipurpose Community Center in Lincoln.

To be assigned an angel for whom to purchase Christmas wish list items, email angeltree@stpeterslewes.org.

Organizers extend their thanks and ask for patience while awaiting email replies. Due to the virtual nature of this project, the process of matching donors to angels is more complicated than usual.
