Starboard to host Clear Space guest bartender fundraiser March 29

The Starboard in Dewey Beach will host Clear Space Theatre and its guest bartenders from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 29.

Six pairs of local guest bartenders will work the bar in half-hour shifts to compete for the most tips. Each pair has a strategy, gimmick or something to draw the crowds to make generous tips during their shift.

All tips will go to support Clear Space Theatre and its mission to inspire audiences, artists and students by providing high-quality performances and educational experiences.

Guest bartenders include Liz Leshine and Linda Wolf of Lewes; Ernie Ritchey and Lisa Schlosser of Rehoboth Beach; Shelly Kennedy and Marcy DeEmedio of Lewes; Scott Thomas of Rehoboth Beach and Ben Gray of Milton; Joe Sterner and Joe Maggio of Rehoboth Beach; and returning to defend their title of Best of the Bar, Ali DiSabatino and Jess Bain of Lewes.

A Clear Space fundraiser is not complete without live performances, so as the guest bartenders work, actors will be presenting a wide variety of songs for the crowd. Clear Space also will hold a raffle for tickets to an upcoming show.

Tips will be accepted in cash or through Venmo @ClearSpaceTheatre, noting the bartender’s name with the Venmo donation.

A nonprofit regional theatre serving residents and visitors to Southern Delaware since 2004, Clear Space performs 13 shows during its season and has year-round performing arts opportunities for children and adults. Clear Space is located at 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
