CV-19 Team Challenge

The Seashore Striders kicked off its Team Challenge May 6 with 180 runners already signed up in the first 48 hours. The challenge will last 19 days, taking us right up to the Masser 5-Miler, the start of the Seashore Striders Summer Racing Series, Sunday, May 24.

The event will offer a similar challenge for the 19 days, this one having a bit of a team twist to it. Teams of three will be required, with each team member handling two of the same distances that were offered in April, as well as completing Masser 5-Miler. The team challenge event will have a male, female, co-ed and K9 division and will also have a requirement of a donation to one of the five nonprofits as well as a volunteer piece as well, such as giving blood, making a mask or dropping off canned goods to the Striders’ collection box.

Registration will remain open for the challenge. Go to www.seashorestriders.com for more information.

27th Masser 5-Miler

The kickoff event of the 30th annual Seashore Striders Summer Racing Series will be the Virtual Masser 5-Miler, which will be held Sunday, May 24 in any location, any town and in any state. The Summer Racing Series will have a much different look this time around. Plans are being finalized to still have the popular series, which draws runners from all over the country.  The series will likely be shortened this year with the first half of the summer going virtual and the second half hopefully back to some kind of normal. More information will be announced in the next two weeks regarding the summer schedule. Please keep checking the Seashore Strider website at www.seashorestriders.com for updates.
