The crowning ceremony was the culmination of a daylong celebration at the school, including a pep rally in the gym.

Also vying for queen were Hannah Lydic of Ocean View, Elle McKay of Lewes, Adrianne Boladas of Georgetown, Kylee Forester of Millsboro, Gabby Orsini of Lewes, Tristyn Piperno of Selbyville, Savannah Shriner of Selbyville and Maria Suarez of Seaford.

As part of the Homecoming game, the boys’ soccer team spearheaded a fundraiser called Pink Out by selling hot pink sweatshirts in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Ten percent of the sales of the sweatshirts will go to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Sussex County. Most of spectators at the game wore pink in support of the effort.
