Sussex Gardeners adorn Zwaanendael Museum for holidays

December 7, 2021

Each year in celebration of the holiday season, members of the Sussex Gardeners volunteer their time to decorate the Zwaanendael Museum.

This year’s theme, Sweet Traditions, celebrates bygone holidays with homemade salt-flour ornaments and clove-studded oranges.

To see the decorations in person, visit the Zwaanendael Museum from 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Wednesday to Saturday throughout the holiday season.

Founded in 1837, Sussex Gardeners is one of the oldest garden clubs in the country. Members’ interests include gardening, floral design, civic beautification, the environment and serving their community. They meet monthly at the Rehoboth Beach Public Library.
