Uniquely Lewes contest announces winning photographs

August 9, 2020

The results are in for Uniquely Lewes, the Zwaanendael Museum’s first virtual photo contest which challenged amateur photographers to submit images of what makes Lewes unique.

Morgan McGinnis won first place with “Can’t Be Crabby.”

With “Reflecting,” Jeff Lusk, nabbed second place.

Barb Moulinier came in third with “Delaware Breakwater East End Light at Sunset.”

Submissions were accepted online July 8 to 15, via the Zwaanendael Museum’s Facebook page.

A total of 23 photos were accepted for participation in the contest. These images were posted on the museum’s Facebook page where followers were asked to vote for the winning photographs by liking or reacting to the individual photos.

Votes were collected for one week from July 16 to 23. The three photos with the top number of reactions were deemed the first-, second- and third-place winners and were awarded corresponding prizes.

The winning photographs will be posted on Zwaanendael Museum and Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs social media platforms and will also be printed and displayed in the outdoor kiosk next to the museum on Kings Highway.
