Volunteers unload Girl Scout cookies

February 3, 2021

Volunteers in Millsboro made sure to get ahead of an inbound Jan. 31 snowstorm to deliver that most delicious of cargos: Girl Scout cookies.

The delivery was for Girl Scout cookies that had been preordered in December and January by troops in the Cape Region. About 800 boxes of Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs were dropped off at Millsboro fire hall, where the volunteers stacked them to prepare for transport. Members of the Girl Scouts themselves did not take part as a precautionary measure due to COVID-19 concerns.
