Woman dies after falling out of golf cart in Pot-Nets Bayside
A Millsboro woman died Sept. 14 after police said she fell out of a golf cart traveling in Pot-Nets Bayside.
The incident happened about 7 p.m. when a Venom EV Golf Cart was traveling north on Piney Crest Lane, and the front passenger fell out of the golf cart. Police said although the golf cart did not strike another object and sustained no damage, the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident as a fatal crash.
The passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Millsboro, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified.
The driver, a 44-year-old woman from Millsboro, was not injured.
