Worcester Prep captures best school and best teacher honors

October 3, 2020

Worcester Preparatory School kicked off the year by announcing its recognition as one of the Best Private High Schools in America 2020 by Niche Media.

It also won two prestigious awards for Best School 2020 and Best Teacher 2020, Allison Bescak, in Coastal Style Magazine’s Best of Eastern Shore Readers’ Poll.

To anyone who knows her, it is no surprise that Bescak was voted Best Teacher. She is beloved by her students and peers alike for her genuine gift of listening and her incessantly positive attitude that is contagious to those around her. She has been an inspirational teacher and coach at Worcester Prep since 2012. She boasts a versatile career, including teaching lower, middle and upper school students, coaching the Destination Imagination team, and coaching middle and upper school boys’ and girls’ soccer and JV girls’ basketball. A Berlin, Md. resident, Bescak and her husband Todd are parents to three children, twin daughters Madison (WPS ’17) and Olivia (WPS ’17), and son T.J., who is a rising senior at WPS.

The Worcester Preparatory School family is honored to be named one of the Best Private High Schools in America by Niche Media and Best School by Coastal Style Best Of Readers’ Poll, especially as the school commemorates its 50th year.
