I’m Harrison and this is a blog about ‘local’ history. I research topics through many means but mostly I find local newspaper articles from newspaperabstracts.com. Sometimes they are relative to something that is happening now. Sometimes it is just interesting and worth sharing.

Sussex Academy is a public charter, tuition free school offering an accelerated academic program for the students of Delaware in grades kindergarten through twelve. The elementary program is based on high academic expectations and a hands-on, integrated approach to learning. The secondary academic programs follow an instructional model that uses the successes of past best practices in interdisciplinary curriculum and project-based learning in the middle school grades and AP (Advanced Placement) courses for the high school grades.
Our students achieve high academic performance through critical, independent thinking and reflection and develop social consciousness through service and community partnerships. The school is very proud of its talented and highly qualified staff that has developed and maintains a challenging curriculum in a supportive and caring environment for its students.
