Revival House at Milton Theatre launches monthly event

March 30, 2016

Brainchild of a trio of fierce film lovers, Rob Rector, Erin Tanner and Rob Waters launched a monthly event, Revival House, March 17 at the Milton Theatre. A collaborative pairing of the arts will take place every third Thursday of every month.

The Revival House is a film series devoted to discovering offbeat films that range from cult classics to cult classics in the making. The series pairs going to the movies with art, music, food, fun and prizes.

The first program, Your Roots are Showing, featured a double feature with "Big Trouble in Little China" and "The Guest." Keith Mosher featured pieces from his personal collection. Music was provided by Cliff Hillis, libations from sponsor Dogfish Head, and food was provided by Tapas Catering.

Next month, the theme will be Rock Docs and the series will feature two music documentaries, including the Oscar-winning "Amy," which looks at the short life of ingenue Amy Winehouse.
