Kenneth Eugene Richards, enjoyed working on cars

Kenneth Eugene Richards (Kenny), 66, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at home. He was born March 8, 1950, the son of the late George Clayton Richards Sr. and Lilias Myer Richards.

Kenny was a graduate of Seaford High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired after working many years as a manager of Shore Brite Laundry and Car Wash.

A longtime resident of Bridgeville, Kenny enjoyed working on his and others' cars and everything automotive. He loved watching reruns of television series from the past.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his brother, George Clayton Richards Jr.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly "Jeannie" (Salmons) Richards; a sister, Susan R. White (Clark) of Seaford; his sisters-in-law: Carol Richards of Raleigh, N.C., Sandie Swafford of Harbeson, Gloria Ostermann (John) of Federalsburg, Md., Brenda Tribbitt of Bridgeville, Barbara Layton of Georgetown, and Bonnie Travers of Federalsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8. Funeral services will be at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium at 2 p.m., Monday. Interment will follow at Bridgeville Cemetery, Bridgeville.
