Paul Zolbe, retired from FBI
Paul Zolbe, a 30-year resident of Ocean View Estates, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, with his loving wife at his side, after a 15-month battle with cancer.
Paul was born to William and Geraldine Zolbe nee Howell Oct. 15,1936, and raised in Johnstown, Pa., where he met and married Carolyn Ann Clark. They were married 61 years.
He leaves behind children Paul August Zolbe Jr. (Piedad), Matthew (Kathleen), and Grace, as well as grandchildren Paul III, Laura, Taylor, Christian and Jessica. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Leslie.
Paul was a teacher before entering the FBI in 1965. Paul retired from the FBI as section chief of uniform crime reporting. He carried a master's degree in forensic science.
After retiring, he split his time between Arlington, Va., and Ocean View, working part time as a hearing officer for the Justice Department.

Paul's funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, at St. Ann's Catholic Church at 691 Garfield Parkway in Bethany Beach.
