Harry Sheldon Kendall, talented florist

Harry Sheldon Kendall, 81, of Lewes, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes.

He was born Friday, Feb. 5, 1937, in Wilmington, son of the late Harry and Corrine (Sheldon) Kendall.

Mr. Kendall graduated from Wilmington University where he received his bachelor's degree in business. He also served nine years in the National Guard. He worked as a florist for many years where he was known for his fantastic floral arrangements. Mr. Kendall enjoyed listening to music, playing games and crafting.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kendall was preceded in death by his brothers: George, John and Norman; his sisters, Alison and Sarah; and his grandson, Brandon Robertson. Mr. Kendall is survived by his granddaughters: Ellen Comer, Delorean McCleary, Madilyn Barns and Kristen Robertson; his grandsons: Timothy and Jonathan Robertson; his great-granddaughters: Angelia, Allison and Brooke; and his great-grandson: Nicholas; and special family: Tim and Shawn Robertson.

Services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
