Kay ‘Cookie’ Rahn, retired claims adjuster

Kay L. “Cookie” Rahn, 68, of Millsboro, formerly of Dillsburg, Pa. passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at her home.

Mrs. Rahn was born in Camp Hill, Pa., July 22, 1943, daughter of the late Lloyd William and Helen Elizabeth (Ketches) Lucas. She had worked as a claims adjuster for Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Harrisburg, Pa. with 22 years before her retirement and move to the Long Neck area. “Cookie” enjoyed going to the beach, boating and collecting nautical items to decorate her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert G. Rahn in January, 2011 and a grandson, Zachary Rahn in September, 2011.

She is survived by two sons, Robert G. Rahn II and his wife Andrea of Georgetown and Craig Rahn and his wife Tracy of Millsboro; four grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, Nathan and C.J. Rahn; and a sister, Fay Bushey of Dillsburg, Pa.

A memorial service will be held at noon, Friday, Sept. 16, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. Interment will be private.
