Blooming Boutique collecting food donations with special sales Feb. 15-16

Zwaanendael Women and stores partner to collect food for charity
February 6, 2019

The GFWC Zwaanendael Women's Club and Micha Seto, owner of Blooming Boutique stores, are teaming up for a food drive to benefit Lighthouse of the Broken Wings, What is Your Voice Inc., Little Grace’s Closet, and the Community Resource Center. To help fill collection boxes, anyone can stop in to donate food items at Blooming Boutique, Treasures, Blooming Boutique Accessories, Lewes Wear and Lewes Gifts in Lewes or Blooming Boutique, Treasures and Bayside Gifts in Long Neck. During the entire month of February, Seto’s stores will match all food donations.

Some of the items needed are: canned protein such as tuna, chicken or fish, canned fruits and vegetables, small jars of peanut butter, jelly, oatmeal, cereal, Hamburger Helper, canned soups, canned chili or beef stew, boxes of dry milk, canned chili or stew, macaroni and cheese, pasta sauce in plastic jars only, and containers of rice, pasta, baby food or instant potatoes.

Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 15-16, Blooming Boutique stores will have a huge assortment of canned goods available to purchase for donations. It couldn’t get much easier than that. Specials will include 50-60 percent off winter clothing, 25-50 percent off a huge assortment of shoes or 50 percent off Alex and Ani.

This is the kick-off event of Blooming Boutique’s 2019 give back initiative. Seto has always valued being a strong participant in the community, giving to many charities each year. During the weekday evenings Blooming Boutique will be offering happy hours or fashion shows for charities with a portion of proceeds during an allotted time being donated back to the charity.

The GFWC Zwaanendael Women's Club, a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation whose members are public-spirited women serving and improving the community.
