Solar lanterns donated to Cape Henlopen School District program
October 16, 2019
Michael Varhola, founder of Solar Empowerment Initiative in Silver Spring, Md., recently donated solar lanterns to the Cape Henlopen School District through the Village Improvement Association.
Designed to help those living in shelters or in homes without adequate electricity, the solar lanterns will go to students and families facing homelessness.
The mission of Solar Empowerment Initiative is to empower the world’s poorest by bringing them clean, safe solar lights and access to solar power. The initiative aims to provide a world where nobody is forced to live in darkness.
