Lighthouse Cove Event Center in Dewey Beach held a wedding-themed open house Nov. 10 which included a free wedding giveaway contest valued at $102,500.
To be eligible for the giveaway, the soon-to-be-wedded couples had to write about their story of engagement, which was reviewed by Delaware Today. The 500 entries were edited down to 50, and 19 attended.
To win, one of the couples had to pick a cupcake lined up on a table on stage and all at one time break open the cupcake looking for a chocolate ring.
All of the vendors at the event will be involved in the winning couple’s wedding at Lighthouse Cove.
