Patrice Lapaige Reed, compassionate person

Patrice Lapaige Reed, 32, also called Trice, of Laurel, was born to the late Leon M. Reed and Pecita O. (Shrieves) Reed, Oct. 19, 1987, in Lewes. She departed this life May 6, 2020, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

Patrice graduated from Dover High School in 2006. Her employment included several jobs ranging from a school bus monitor, home health caregiver, to working in the poultry plant.

Patrice was a very compassionate person; her bright smile brought out that cute dimple on her cheek. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she loved traveling, especially to Virginia Beach.

Her most favorite thing of all was spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandparents; also her godmother, Darlene Wilson.

Patrice is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Pecita (Robert) Brown of Lewes, Patrina Fields of Rehoboth, Leon (Amanda) Reed Jr. of Dover, Trish (Artey) Scott of Laurel and Lamar (Victoria) Reed of Dover; two lifetime friends, Ashley Gustin of Delmar and Asia Green of Dover; and a special friend, Brykiem Timmons; aunts and uncles. Yvonne (Henry) McGriff, Starr (Calvin) Suggs, Willette (Robbie) Scott, George Williams, Lucy Redden, Lema Mae Boyd, Teresa Collick, Pauline Berlus, Adaline (Frank) Diaz, Ralph (Kay) Reed, Randolph Reed; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.

Patrice will be truly be missed; her presence always brightens the day. Patrice will forever remain in our hearts.
