Henlopen Soccer Club holds camp at Sussex Academy

Henlopen Soccer Club held its first camp of the summer July 13-17 at Sussex Academy in Georgetown. Open to boys and girls from first to eighth grade, the camp focused on building skills in each participant. Coaches Patrick Kilby, Scott Bleile and Joe Rupar split campers into three groups based on age. Each day focused on a particular part of the game with technical and tactical instruction. Areas covered include passing and receiving, possession, attacking and finishing, and defending. The final day was dedicated to match play.
Henlopen Soccer Club will host another summer camp Aug. 10-14 following the same curriculum. For details, go to www.henlopensoccerclub.org/.
