Milton Theatre has closed indefinitely due to diminished capacity requirements brought on to stem the tide of COVID-19.
Spokesman JP Lacap said the closure is temporary and the theater plans to reopen when capacity limits allow the theater to make the economics of being open workable.
This is the second time the theater has closed during the pandemic; the theater closed in March after Gov. John Carney ordered all nonessential businesses to close. The theater reopened under reduced capacity during the summer, with a mix of events inside the theater and outside at the Quayside Stage.
But with COVID cases again surging in the state, winter weather limiting outdoor events, and Carney having to reinstitute limits on indoor gatherings, the theater again decided to close its doors.
