Lewes library Monday night movies series to start June 13

Outdoor screenings to continue in alternating weeks
June 8, 2022

The Lewes Public Library will host Monday night movies, a series of free outdoor movie screenings, at 8 p.m., every other Monday throughout the summer beginning June 13 with “Luca.”

The family-friendly, beach-themed films will be presented on a large outdoor screen on the library’s back lawn. Guests are encouraged to bring their own refreshments along with blankets or chairs to sit on, and prepare for an evening of fun under the stars.

The dates and movie titles are as follows:

  • June 13: “Luca”
  • June 27: “Pirates of the Caribbean”
  • July 11: “Finding Nemo”
  • July 25: “Cast Away”
  • Aug. 8: “Moana”
  • Aug. 22: “Jaws.”

All films are rated PG or PG-13, and the library website offers a synopsis and link to more information about each movie. The showings are free, and no registration is needed. For more information, go to lewes.lib.de.us.

“We heard from so many community members last year who enjoyed the summer movies on the lawn,” said Emily Ellinger, teen services librarian. “We’re looking forward to another great lineup this year and to making Monday night movies a favorite summer tradition in Lewes.”
