Starboard Sauced to open in Dewey
New restaurant replaces Mama Celeste adjacent to The Starboard

Starboard Sauced is taking shape in the space formerly occupied by Mama Celeste in Dewey Beach, and owner Steve “Monty” Montgomery said he hopes to open the restaurant in May.
“The idea behind this was not only keeping this property in house since we already owned the building, but it was another opportunity to give equity to two Starboard employees in Keith ‘Toastie’ Kirk and Joe Lopez,” Montgomery said. “They’ll run this day-to-day with our full support.”
Montgomery said his company has always owned the building.
“Mama and Papa decided to retire,” Montgomery said. “Papa anyhow, as Mama may want to come work with us. We’ll do some great sandwiches, subs and New York-style pizza.”
