Carrie Bell Williams, former deli owner
Carrie Bell (Dennis) Williams, 82, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Carrie is the sister of Virginia Dennis Oney (Milton) of Georgetown, and Gregory Dennis (Catherine) of Upper Marlboro, Md. Carrie was preceded in death by her father Will Dennis, her motherImer Dennis and sister Margurite Dennis Bright (William Bright) of Georgetown.
Carrie enjoyed being with her friends whenever she was not working. Carrie lived in Mt. Vernon, N. Y. for more than 60 years before moving to Georgetown. She worked a variety of jobs during her early years. Carrie then opened her own business Carrie’s Grocery & Deli in Mt. Vernon, and served the community for over 35 years. Carrie’s business was a friendly and family place for many people.
In Carrie’s later years she became very ill and resided with her sister in Georgetown, and later moved to Harbor Health Care, Lewes, and Atlantic Shores in Millsboro. She will be greatly missed by all.
Public viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 26, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 South Washington St., Millsboro, followed by the funeral services at noon.
