The Rehoboth Beach Film Society officially invites southern Delaware locals, visitors, society members and enthusiastic cinema fans to attend the 27th annual Rehoboth Beach International Film Festival, to be held Monday to Sunday, Nov. 3 to 9, at the Cinema Art Theater near Lewes. Audiences can look forward to seven days that feature high-quality filmmaking.
Tickets are now on sale at www.rehobothfilm.com/rbiff2025. The seven-day, all-access pass costs $400, the weekend all-access pass is $300, and student passes can be purchased at the theater for $75.
“I think there are some really amazing highlights,” said society Executive Director Dave Bever. “We’ve got 76 filmmakers coming. That includes panelists like Anthony Jannelli, who was the cinematographer for ‘Independence Day’ and ‘The Manchurian Candidate.’ We have Patrick Capone, who photographed the TV series ‘Succession.’ These people come back year after year because they like this festival.”
Bever took over as executive director in March. He has always been a movie buff and has a great appreciation for this community. Bever is eager to contribute to the society’s continued growth and expansion. The recent name change to the Rehoboth Beach International Film Festival reflects that forward-looking vision and commitment to expanding the society’s reach.
“That change came last year, when the focus really became making this a must-see stop on the road to the Oscars,” said Bever. “Now we have seven countries’ submissions for Best International Film at this year’s Oscars featured at our festival next week.”
Bever is excited to see what the future holds for the Rehoboth Beach Film Society. He hopes to encourage anyone who loves any aspect of the movie industry to get to the Cinema Art Theater. Bever emphasized the importance of staying tied to the local community while also embracing new opportunities to connect with filmmakers and audiences from around the world.
“The film festival, which was the beginning of the film society 27 years ago, came out of a community of film lovers who wanted to have a home for this kind of attainment and art,” said Bever. “So it has always been tied to the community. My vision for this place is that the Rehoboth Beach Film Society, and the Cinema Art Theater, has everything you can’t get at the multiplex. We’re not competing with that. We’re offering something completely different.”
