Invoke string quartet to perform Coastal Concerts show Jan. 10

Merging the music genres of classical, folk, bluegrass and Americana, Invoke string quartet will take the Coastal Concerts stage Jan. 10. SUBMITTED PHOTO
Coastal Concerts will present Invoke, an innovative string quartet, at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, at Bethel United Methodist Church, Fourth and Market streets in Lewes.
Lani Spahr will present a Performance Insights lecture at 1 p.m. prior to the concert.
Musicians are Nick Montopoli on violin, banjo and vocals; Zach Matteson on violin and vocals; Karl Mitze on viola, mandolin and vocals; and Geoff Manyin on cello and vocals. The performers play Appalachian fiddle tunes, jazz and other styles, featuring original works composed by and for the group.
Invoke’s Lewes program, American Voices, will pay homage to some of America’s most illustrious composers of the past and present, spanning more than 100 years.
