August 20, 2012

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Kay’s Kitchen Aug. 13.  Members of the Chamber’s Meet & Greet Committee were present to welcome Kay’s Kitchen to the resort area.

Kay's Kitchen offers eat in or carry out breakfast and lunch. Opened June 29, the café is just one block from the beach at 4 North First St. in Rehoboth Beach. At Kay’s Kitchen it’s a family affair with mom Rita Kilgore the boss, son Patrick Kilgore the cook and daughter Katie Kilgore the baker. Named in memory of the Kilgores' late Nan, Kay’s Kitchen uses family recipes and believes that the best food is homemade, from scratch.

They offer made-to-order breakfast sandwiches along with a delicious cup of fresh brewed Reunion Island coffee.  All of Kay’s Kitchen’s lunch entrees are hand made from scratch: cheeseburgers, pulled pork sandwiches, salmon burger,s spicy chicken sandwiches, pulled pork nachos, turkey burgers and pepperoni bread. They can be paired with Kay's famous potato salad or another homemade side.

To finish the meal, Kay's offers fresh baked goods and homemade ice cream from Woodside Farm Creamery. At Kay’s Kitchen the focus is on high quality food at reasonable prices.
