Lotus Chiropractic in Lewes expands treatments and services with new staff
Dr. Krista Griffin opened Lotus Chiropractic in downtown Lewes in June 2008. Her goal for the business was to provide individualized treatments that restore balance to the entire body by using a diverse array of therapy techniques in conjunction with cutting-edge technology.
This year she realized the need for expansion to accommodate her growing patient base, so another chiropractor and a massage therapist have joined the office.
Dr. Meg Barchiesi moved to the area from Harrisburg, Pa. She holds a holds a bachelor of arts degree in sports medicine from Elon University and is a graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic. Barchiesi is certified in the Active Release Technique (ART).
ART is a soft-tissue, case-management system that allows the practitioner to diagnose and treat injured muscles, fascia, tendons and nerves. In addition to ART, she can utilize eight different techniques to achieve proper structural and biomechanical balance.
Also new to Lotus is Corina A. Jenkins, LMT, who is certified by the American Massage Therapy Association. Jenkins graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 2000. She specializes in sports and deep-tissue massage to aid in healing acute and chronic injuries.
Jenkins has worked in the area for more than 10 years and has treated world-class athletes. She can be reached directly at 302-542-0645.
