Luxury nail polish to launch at Heidi Lowe Gallery Dec. 7

December 4, 2013

Vancza’s Mine Luxury Nail Lacquer will launch its new brand of luxury nail polishes at a manicure and champagne party at Heidi Lowe Gallery from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7. Patrons will be able to receive complimentary manicures using the nail lacquers, made from 22- or 24-karat gold, silver, and graphite.

“I really appreciate Mine’s dedication to highlighting artists while promoting their brand,” gallery owner Lowe said. “It lends itself to so many fun partnerships, and I cannot wait to see how the collaborations unfold.”

The product’s creator, Veleta Vancza, is an artist, goldsmith and enamelist with a background in academia; she is an innovator in the field of porcelain enamel. To celebrate the launch, she made a special series of rings to be sold with the nail polish. The launch will be covered by Marie Claire magazine and featured in an upcoming issue. The nail polish has also been featured in Nylon magazine.

Vancza’s Mine Luxury Nail Lacquer is colored only by the precious material. No filler pigments or colors are utilized. The polishes can be worn matte or burnished to a sparkling brilliance and come in hand-cut Austrian crystal bottles and custom boxes. The nail lacquers range in price from $100-$500 per bottle, with the gold polishes at the top of the range.

The following weekend, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, Heidi Lowe Gallery will host a Drusy Party, where Lowe’s drusy dealer will have an ample selection of gemstones and drusies for customers to choose from. Patrons can pick out their favorite stone and design a piece with Lowe for her to make. This will be the last weekend the gallery will take orders for Christmas, whether the commissions include drusies or otherwise.

Heidi Lowe Gallery is the little yellow cottage at 328 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. The gallery specializes in jewelry made by studio artists and features Lowe’s innovative work as well as jewelry from artists from all over the country.
