February 25, 2021

The Sussex Bird Club will host It’s Too Late to Stop Now: Sharing the Gospel of Birding in the 21st Century, a live, interactive online meeting from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 14, featuring Jeffrey Gordon, president of the American Birding Association.

The ABA, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Delaware since 2014, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019. Gordon will celebrate the power of birding to heal and transform people’s lives and the world. He will share some of the highlights of the ABA’s first half-century, and tales from his own 40 years as a birder in Delaware and around the world. Most of all, he will talk about the path to 2069 and how to advance boldly toward making the world a better place for the birds and birders who will follow.

Gordon is also is a well-known writer, photographer, tour leader, and naturalist. He is a frequent speaker and field trip leader at various birding and nature festivals. For more information on the ABA and Gordon, visit the ABA website, aba.org.
