William Abney O'Shaughnessy, Cape High graduate

Mr. William Abney O'Shaughnessy passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, at his home in Rehoboth Beach. 

Mr. O’Shaughnessy was born Nov. 17, 1979, in Baltimore, Md., to Serena Williams Miles O’Shaughnessy and the late Phillips Paul O’Shaughnessy.  He attended St. Paul’s School, graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, and attended Wesley College.   

Mr. O’Shaughnessy is survived by his mother, Serena Miles of Rehoboth Beach, and his brother, Robert Miles O’Shaughnessy of San Francisco, Calif.   He is also survived by his two beloved daughters, Lillian Rose O’Shaughnessy and Chloe Marion O’Shaughnessy, and by their mother, Kara Miele, all of Scranton, Pa. 

There will be a private memorial service Monday,  July 5, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Rehoboth Beach. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Mr. O’Shaughnessy’s memory to NAMI Delaware, 2400 West 4th St., Wilmington, DE 19805, or to All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
