“Our effort to play physical in the first half was not there,” said Cape coach Patrick Kilby. “After our halftime talk, the girls were energized and played with a more competitive spirit. After going down 4-0 in the first half, our goal was to come out and win the second half. We showed that we can play with anyone, as the second half score was 2-2. Our hope is that the competitive drive we saw in the second half carries us into Milford on Friday.”

IR coach Steve Kilby believes the difference in the game was, “the ability our girls have regarding their first touch, and the balance and the support we have in our system.”

Cape travels to Milford Friday, March 25, to face the Bucs. The Indians play the Bulldogs of Laurel Thursday, March 24.
