Author TJ West will be on hand to sign his latest book, “Country Road Romance,” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 9, at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach.
In this wild and wonderful LGBTQ+ romance, Jared Russell is forced to chaperone Hollywood golden boy Charlie Garrett for the Mountain State Film Festival, and despite his misgivings, Jared feels pulled in by Charlie’s good looks and sweet nature.
Charlie has always felt guilty about leaving the Mountain State, so he jumps at the chance to return and give something back to the queer folks who still call those hills and hollers home. He's drawn to his broody, grumpy chaperone, but after he loses his temper at a local gay bar, he has to hide out at Jared's parents' house and wait for the media frenzy to die down. What will happen to their relationship as the weekend unfolds?
The proud son and grandson of farmers and coal miners, West is a queer writer and culture critic. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Marshall University, and a master’s and doctorate from Syracuse University. He lives on Maryland’s Eastern Shore with his partner and their cat, but the Mountain State will always have a piece of his heart.
